Despite never having shown an interest in religion before, Telosa woke up one morning in [[3032]] driven by a dream he'd had in which he had seen the blue lights of [[Aleksandr Kerensky|Kerenksy]]'s ships surrounding the star in the [[Elissa]] system. He traveled to [[Halfway]], then the center of the [[One Star Faith]] cult, and told the High Elders of his vision.<ref name=20YU>''20 Year Update'', p. 94 - Egan Telosa profile</ref>

That dream galvanized the One Star Faith, who had not previously known the location of the paradise world that was at the center of their faith, into action. Elissa was a system in the [[Elysian Fields]] in the [[periphery]], and the region was in turn a protectorate of the [[Oberon Confederation]]. Although General [[Hendrik Grimm IV]] of Oberon reportedly scoffed at the group's vision, he gave them permission to emigrate to Elissa if they would pay 100 million [[C-bill]]s. Over the course of twelve years, the One Star Faith managed to collect the money so that Telosa could lead the group to Oberon. However, the [[Inner Sphere]] lost contact with the Oberon Confederation and the Elysian Fields in [[3045]] for unknown reasons, with political turmoil a suspected reason. Fearing for their safety, the bulk of the One Star Faith moved no further than [[Pasig]], where they waited until it would be safe to travel to Elissa.<ref name=20YU/> Only a few went ahead to prepare Elissa for the arrival of the others.<ref name=IPp76-77>''Interstellar Players'' , p. 76-77 "DESTINATION UNKNOWN"</ref>

Instead, as it turned out the [[Clan Invasion]] had seen [[Clan Wolf]] conquer the Oberon Confederation and Elysian Fields in [[3049]]. The return of Kerensky's descendants as invaders instead of guarding Eden for the Faithful shocked the One Star Faith, which had steadily expanded until [[3050]], to its core. The faith of many of its followers shattered, membership declined drastically. Only a few hundred members still believed, much to the mockery and derision of many.<ref name=IPp76-77/><ref name=HHS-124>''Handbook: House Steiner'', pp. 124-125 "Religion and Philosophy - Other Religions and Faiths - The One Star Faith"</ref> Egan Telosa remained as the faith's High Visionary and spokesperson.<ref name=IPp76-77/><ref name=HHS-124/>

By the era of the [[Second Star League]] and the [[Lyran Alliance]], the reformed One Star Faith had begun to recover thanks to the efforts of High Visionary Egan Telosa. Telosa asserted that Elissa in the coreward periphery was the One Star, proven somewhat awkwardly by it being in the direction from which the Clans arrived.<ref name=HHS-124/> He modified the original beliefs by claiming that this paradise world will be open to all and that once discovered that the leaders of the Clans will pledge their ''[[touman]]''s to its defense, guarding against a dark time still to come.<ref name=HHS-124/> According to Telosa, the original visions were a first phase, which now needed to be continued.<ref name=IPp77/>

Following a courtroom victory over the tabloid [[Dieron Enquirer]], Egan Telosa was confronted with pictures in an interview in [[3067]] showing him piloting a [[Gienah HoverVette]]. [[Fritz Haber]], whose financial planning was credited alongside Telosa's visions for the recovery of the One Star Faith, pointed out that members of the Faith did not take vows of poverty but were paid "a small salary from the Faith, not much more than the average worker in the Lyran Alliance" in an attempt to downplay their salaries and Telosa for his part added that the hovercraft in question was donated by a new member. When the interviewers questioned whether the donator might have been a brainwashed abductee, Telosa started to respond and challenge that assertion but was interrupted by Haber who declared the interview over.<ref name=IPp77/>

Also as of 3067, Telosa was reportedly attempting to gather resources for one more migration, this time into the [[Deep Periphery]].<ref name=HHS-124/>
