A graduate and former instructor of the Gunslinger Program, de la Garza was a skilled MechWarrior who lead from his cockpit, much to the dismay of his staff and praise of his troops. His aides sought to keep him off the frontline by assigning Helepolis ArtilleryMechs to his command Company, but it did not stop "the Old Cyclops" (as his men called him) from getting closer to the action.[1]
