Planetary History[edit]
Hanseatic Crusade[edit]
During Escorpión Imperio's conquest of the Hanseatic League, Dortmund saw no action in the opening months of the invasion. As Clan Goliath Scorpion started advancing inward, Regional Defense Force 3, deployed on Danzig after a successful raid into Escorpión Imperio territory, realized they were missing the war and left their post, arriving on Dortmund by early May 3040 and dug in.[4] Mu Galaxy commenced their attack of Dortmund as part of Wave 4 on May 9th, but the defenders were eager to engage and they fought to a standstill. With Hansa forces struggling elsewhere, RDF 3 was eventually recalled to the capital of Bremen, ceding the world to Goliath Scorpion, who allowed them to depart. It took Mu Galaxy weeks to clear out the mines and booby traps left by the RDF troops, however, and they would end up missing the rest of the war.[3]

Notes[edit]
- There is a footnote on the bottom of Operational Turning Points: Hanseatic Crusade, page 25, about RDF 3 arriving too late on Dortmund to engage Mu Galaxy. This appears to be in error, as it contradicts the narrative described elsewhere in the book.
