The Dompaire system was home to at least one habitable world and several habitats throughout the system, and as of June 3152 was located in the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone.[1] [2]

The Dompaire system is located near the Colmar and Sudeten systems.[3][4]

The Dompaire system was colonized during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War.[5][6][7]

Planetary History

Operation REVIVAL

In August 3050, Dompaire was attacked by Clan Jade Falcon as part of Wave Four of Operation REVIVAL. The 305th Assault Cluster made a bold assault right on top of the planetary capital, Dompaire Central. The unprepared Dompaire Armored Cavalry rallied to counter attack the Falcons, but the force's older combat vehicles and BattleMechs broke down under the stress of battle. The 305th secured the world by the end of the second day of their attack, but terrorist bombings and guerrilla attacks still occasionally occurred.[29]

IlClan Era

After the Battle of Terra in 3151, the new Jade Falcon Khan Jiyi Chistu visited Dompaire where the solahma garrison's commander, Star Captain Engels, was running a de facto bandit kingdom. Chistu was initially unaware of this, departing the world after winning an argument with Engels over the requisitioning of two Stars of his warriors and setting higher production quotas.[1]

Later Chistu returned after shipments from Dompaire fell to unacceptable levels. Arriving unannounced, he and his First Falcon Sentinels found Engels and his warriors carousing in the capital while the rest of the planet and the system's other settlements had revolted against Falcon rule. Chistu discovered how Engels had mistreated Dompaire's laborer caste inhabitants for years and promised improvements to their lot. This won over everyone except the largest moon settlement, Saint Remy, but the domed city surrendered after an Elemental Trinary captured Saint Remy's leaders. Chistu spared them in exchange for restoring their mines to full production, and then placed Dompaire's chief laborer in charge of the planet. This gesture, as well as the execution of their former oppressors and the new warrior garrison focusing exclusively on planetary defense, boosted civilian morale and resulted in them exceeding their production goals.[48]
