The Diamond Shark is a genetically engineered predator, a vicious breed of shark created by scientists from Clan Snow Raven.
Following a dispute with Clan Sea Fox, the Snow Raven Khan released the Diamond Shark into the freshwater oceans of Strana Mechty where it quickly decimated the population of the native Sea Fox, another predator that hitherto had no natural enemies and was the namesake of Clan Sea Fox. Within mere months, the Sea Fox became an endangered species on the brink of extinction. In an unpredecented move, Clan Sea Fox subsequently chose to alter its name, and became Clan Diamond Shark on the last day of September 2895.
The Diamond Shark was named so by Clan Sea Fox because of its color and the ridges of diamond-hard spines on its sides.
