The brother of [[Justin Allard]] and uncle of [[Kai Allard-Liao]], Dan married Morgan's illegitimate daughter [[Megan Kell]].

Allard continued to pilot his [['Mech]] despite rising to command of the Kell Hounds, until his death on [[Graceland]] in [[3069]] during combat against [[Clan Jade Falcon]], on 12 June [[3069]], when the Falcons abandoned ''zellbringen''. His killer, ironically, was his nephew's friend, [[Taman Malthus]].
Daniel's death was deeply felt by the Hounds. Despite Allard being replaced at command by [[Akira Brahe]], the troops were so demoralized by their loss than had to evacuate Graceland.
