Description
The Conqueror Class was constructioned by the Snow Ravens, when Ghost Bears appoarched them aide them in bid to construct their Leviathan Class Battleships in 3042. The Conqueror was conceived as carrier escort to the giant Leviathans. The ship was based on old Star League Pursuit Cruiser design, Kimagure Class.
However, after Battle of Tukayyid, it became apparent the Clans would not face Inner Spher Warships in near future, Raven dropped out of the Ghost Bear's Leviathan construction program. However, Ravens decided to complete their two semi-completed Battlecruiser/Carriers. The Conqueror was launched in 3052 and shortly after finishing its test trial months later. While delays on the ships sister caused it not be completed until 3059.[1]
Armaments & Capacities
Despite based on the Kimagure Class Pursuit Cruiser, the Conquerors does not use heavy energy weaponry that it predecessor used. The ship's primary capital grade weaponry consists of various mid-grade Naval Auto Cannons mounted on the bow, both broadsides, and pair of NAC/25 in aft. Augmenting the massive cannons, Light grade Naval PPCs in same firing arcs. While Medium Grade Naval PPCs are placed in the ship's broadsides. Dozen Naval Lasers of 45 and 55 type have been placed in both Boardsides and aft-sides firing arcs. Also four Barracuda type capital missile launchers have been placed bow, boardsides and aft to provide long range fire power with Naval Lasers, and Medium NPPCs.
For anti-figther protection, the ship has been given mix array of Extended Range and Pulse Lasers of Large and Small sizes augimented by dozen sizes of LB-X Class Auto Cannons. However, dizzy array of weaponry can over whelm the ship's double heatsinks systems if more than one major firing arc is fired at same time. Which risks the ship loose control drift from course during a fire fight. As a Aerospace Carrier, the ship carries two clusters worth of fightercraft to project and provide project to the ship and its charges.
The ship's engines putting out maximum thrust factor of 5, burn 39.52 tons of fuel a day. Ship's fuel bunkers holds the maximum fuel capacity of 3,000 tons. For exterinal protection, the ship been given 950 tons of Lamellor Ferro-Carbide Armor. The ship inner strength is strong, it is able to survive brutal hit breeching it armor. Its structual integrity has been rated at 70.
