On the world of Maule, Kurita's 669th Mechanized Infantry Regiment destroyed all of the defender's airborne military assets, causing the 2nd Maule Militia's ground forces to set themselves up in a loose line ring around the capitol of Maule City. Kurita troops tried to use superior numbers to take the city, but the heavier firepower of the defenders' Armored Vehicles repelled the attacks
