==History==
The WoBS ''Celestial Threads'' was one of three ''Naga''-class destroyers to serve in the Blakist fleet during the [[Jihad]];<ref name="J:FRp128"/> prior to the Jihad, the Word of Blake was only known to be operating a small black water navy of some six WarShips, none of which were ''Nagas'',<ref name="FM:Up90"/> but the Word of Blake had secretly recovered three ''Nagas'' from sites around the [[Inner Sphere]] such as the abandoned [[Star League Defense Force]] facility known as the [[Ruins of Gabriel]] and restored them to operational status. These three ''Nagas'' were the ''Celestial Threads'' and her sister ships [[Divine Command|WoBS ''Divine Command'']] and [[Enlightened Direction|WoBS ''Enlightened Direction'']].<ref name="J:FRp128"/>

All three ''Nagas'' had inoperable [[K-F Drive]]s, and the Word of Blake deemed that the WarShips were not worth restoring to full working order. Instead, the decision was made to make the three vessels a key part of the [[SDS]] network protecting [[Terra]]. The first of the three ''Nagas'' to be restored was the ''Celestial Threads'', and she was then modified extensively with complex control systems which were designed to control ''[[Caspar II]]'' drone ships. The ''Celestial Threads'' went on to play a key part in the defense of [[Battle of Mars|Mars]] when [[Wolf's Dragoons]] launched Task Force Vengeance, and fought again during [[Case White (event)|Case WHITE]], the [[ComStar]] attack on Terra. By the time Case WHITE was launched all three ''Nagas'' had been converted to ''Caspar'' control ships, and while Case WHITE was an abject failure that saw the greater part of the [[Com Guards|Com Guard]] WarShip fleet destroyed, the ComStar WarShips managed to put both the ''Celestial Threads'' and ''Enlightened Direction'' out of commission, leaving Terra vulnerable.<ref name="JHS:Tp178">''Jihad Hot Spots: Terra'', p. 178: "Naga Caspar II Control Ship"</ref>

The ''Enlightened Direction'' couldn't be salvaged, but the ''Celestial Threads'' was restored to working order and she and the ''Divine Command'' were both subject to extensive modifications intended to increase their capabilities and, more importantly, their defenses. Additional armor plating was added to protect key components and systems on each ship, and extensive batteries of [[MML|multi-missile launchers]], [[VSP|variable speed pulse lasers]], sub-capital weapons, and [[AMS|anti-missile systems]] were installed, significantly increasing the protection against [[aerospace fighter]]s and [[DropShip]]s.<ref name="JHS:Tp178"/>

These were not the only changes made to the ''Celestial Threads''; the number of fighter bays were increased from six to eighteen, allowing her to carry a complement of ''[[Hive]]'' drone fighters, while nine pressurized repair bays were incorporated into her structure, allowing her to simultaneously service and repair six ''[[Tiamat]]''-class drones and twelve ''[[Dragau]]''-class drones. Lastly, the extensive control systems incorporated into the ''Celestial Threads'' allowed her to control a fleet of three dozen ''Caspar II'' drones.<ref name="JHS:Tp178"/>

The ''Celestial Threads'' played a key part in the defense of Terra in [[3078]] when the allied coalition assembled by [[Devlin Stone]] launched an invasion as a part of [[Operation SCOUR]], the campaign to liberate the [[Word of Blake Protectorate]]. The ''Divine Command'' and the ''Celestial Threads'' were both destroyed in action during the campaign, with the ''Divine Command'' being the last of the two to succumb to her enemies in orbit above Terra.<ref name="J:FRp128+">''Jihad: Final Reckoning'', p. 128: "Original Word Of Blake Fleet"</ref>
