:::Mind-reading from from the past decade is always a challenging endeavor.  :-)  In this case, I think that the issue was that the cateogry was being used for game rules as well as for products that would be properly termed games aids.  [This is the conclusion I came to in reading through the pages listed here.  But when I checked the clean-up tag I learned that it was added three years ago and its stated reason was this conflation between game rules pages and game aid pages.  Perhaps I should have read the clean-up note in the page code first.]

Cleanup

This has been in "Cleanup" since 2008, with the note in the cleanup tag as follows: "Game Aids are a separate article from rules. They are physical items sold by the various publishers of the game. Rules and concepts should be moved to a different, new category, or outright removed". Rather than remove the cleanup tag, I am putting the note here so in 2022 we can discuss what we want to do with this category.--Talvin (talk) 10:23, 19 March 2022 (EDT)

I am aware of those, but I am afraid this answer doesn't help me much. I am focused on going through the things marked "Cleanup", which are on the To-Do list off to the left, and trying to mind-read sometimes over a decade in the past of "OK, what did they want us to clean up?" This note was buried in the code, so I am bringing it out where it can at least be seen. Do we still want the Cleanup tag on this category after all these years, or do we want to pull it?--Talvin (talk) 12:24, 19 March 2022 (EDT)
Mind-reading from from the past decade is always a challenging endeavor.
I have since recategorized the game rules articles under their own (new) category Category:Game Rules and added an official definition for Game Aids. This appears to resolve the clean-up tag regarding this page and thus I have removed it. --Dude RB (talk) 15:15, 19 March 2022 (EDT)
