*Under current construction rules, it is not possible to install a Lithium-Fusion Battery on a ''Star Lord'' and still keep all six docking hardpoints in the process, suggesting the scenario background description in ''Historical Turning Points: Antallos'' on p. 17 is inaccurate. In fact, the "Double the odds" option in the scenario's Warchest section explicitly suggests the presence of a second, unnamed Word of Blake JumpShip (implicitly also equipped with a Lithium-Fusion Battery) that operated in conjunction with ''Blake's Benevolence''. A total of six docking hardpoints would then have been available between these two JumpShips combined, and not on the ''Blake's Benevolence'' alone.

Blake's Benevolence
Vessel Profile
TypeJumpShip
ClassStar Lord (modified)

The Blake's Benevolence was a Star Lord-class JumpShip that supposedly features a Lithium-Fusion Battery with its six docking hardpoints (see Notes). It served the Word of Blake as of 3067.

History[edit]

Blake's Benevolence arrived at a pirate point in the Antallos system on 16 November 3067, in the middle of a punitive raid by Clan Snow Raven against the Thanos' Terribles and Mark Grady Band pirates (and others). Six DropShips undocked, but two dozen DropShips (and twenty aerospace fighters) rushed the ship hoping to escape the Snow Ravens' wrath. Clan Snow Raven was taken by surprise and mustered two Stars of OmniFighters from two different Clusters in the area, but these could not prevent the JumpShip from escaping with a DropShip on all six docking hardpoints. However, those left behind were obliterated.[1]

Notes[edit]

  • Under current construction rules, it is not possible to install a Lithium-Fusion Battery on a Star Lord and still keep all six docking hardpoints in the process, suggesting the scenario background description in Historical Turning Points: Antallos on p. 17 is inaccurate. In fact, the "Double the odds" option in the scenario's Warchest section explicitly suggests the presence of a second, unnamed Word of Blake JumpShip (implicitly also equipped with a Lithium-Fusion Battery) that operated in conjunction with Blake's Benevolence. A total of six docking hardpoints would then have been available between these two JumpShips combined, and not on the Blake's Benevolence alone.
