By 2616 the world of Bellatrix had been captured by the Free Worlds League; assigned to capture Bellatrix back were Stirling's Fusiliers, one of the regiments that made up the Northwind Highlanders. Despite being outnumbered three to one by the Avengers, the Fusiliers struck using a combination of ferocity and superior tactics that saw the Avengers smashed and routed. The Avengers fled eastwards across the southern continent, only to find that they couldn't shake off the pursuing Fusiliers, and when forced to stand and fight by poor weather the Avengers were quickly wiped out.[1]
