Battle of Styx (2443)

A Draconis Combine Armored Vehicle Company raided Styx, intending to seize and plunder a few metal refineries while testing the resolve of the Terran Hedgemony. Rain-slicked plains slowed the Kuritan tanks, which gave the Cameron troops plenty of time to ready their new BattleMechs. On the muddy plains outside Barbados City, the two units clashed: Four Hedgemony BattleMechs from the [[801st Heavy Armored Regiment]] faced off against a Combine Armored Vehicle Company with Infantry support. The results were so lopsided that few could argue the Terran Hedgemony's new BattleMech technology would not be the future king of the battlefield. The TH Mechs easily beat the DC force, leaving only one tank and a few Infantry to run back to their DropShip.
