Captain Crandall was his regiment's dueling champion, participating in more than 60 duels during the Hidden War, ending with a record of 27 wins, 31 losses, and 3 draws. He was finally killed in a dual with a Combine Lancelot, when its fusion engine was destroyed, in an explosion which also destroyed his 'Mech.[1]
