Argile Technologies was a Lyran Commonwealth-based defense manufacturer during the late Age of War and Star League era.[1][2][3][4]

Overview[edit]

Most well-known for manufacturing the Firestarter light 'Mech design, which Argile introduced in 2550 and manufactured until 2776, the company had BattleMech manufacturing facilities on at least two worlds: Skye[1][3][4] and Yed Posterior. The Argile Technologies facility on Yed Posterior was destroyed by a Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery attack in 2788.[2] With the loss of the plant on Yed Posterior, Argile Technologies continued to manufacturer Firestarters and spare parts from their facilities on Skye, where the company headquarters was also located, but both were subject to catastrophic levels of damage during the Third Succession War. When Argile Technologies indicated that they would be unable to rebuild the factory, Coventry Metal Works took up production of the Firestarter.[1]
