System Description
The Anywhere system is located near the Lackhove and Somerset systems.[3][4]
The database of the (apocryphal) 1989 video game MechWarrior, set around the year 3025, gives a population of only 5 million for Galuzzo and describes the environment as "ice" (out of only three impressions of planetary environments given in the game, these being "desert": "ice", or "tropical"). The description one-liner reads "A real nowhere unless you're a pirate."
System History
The Anywhere system was settled during or soon after the First Exodus from Terra, but joined the Rim Worlds Republic prior to the Age of War.[5]

Planetary History
Early History
Anywhere was one of the worlds targetted by Maxwell Rowe during his efforts to build up the Rim Worlds Republic, beginning in 2330; Rowe began by negotiating a series of trade and barter pacts with worlds like Anywhere, carefully avoiding any suggestions of a military alliance, defensive or otherwise. Rowe added offers of social and technological favors including access to new Rim Worlds Republic university facilities over time, and through guile and slow but steady progress persuaded the natives of Anywhere to join the Republic.[5]
Reunification War
By the end of the Age of War Anywhere was a member of the Apollo Province of the Rim Worlds Republic.[6] Civil war erupted in the Rim Worlds Republic in 2575, with the factions polarized around those loyal to First Consul Gregory Amaris and those loyal to the Rift Republican Army and the Rim Provisional Government.[38]
The Star League eventually decided to intervene in the civil war in support of Gregory Amaris, and in 2579 assembled Task Force MAILED FIST to help secure Amaris' control over the Rim Worlds Republic. A multinational force headed by the Star League Defense Force, Task Force MAILED FIST was responsible for executing Operation MAILED FIST, the name given to the military intervention. The first wave of attacks focused on securing significant worlds near Apollo,[39] until a destructive raid on Alarion by the 4th Amaris Fusiliers in retaliation prompted the SLDF to alter its initial strategy for the campaign, the focus shifted to reducing Rim Worlds Army concentrations throughout the Republic and the capture of key worlds.[40]
In late 2584 the SLDF changed tactics again; a number of major RWA units had been destroyed or captured, and the focus for the campaign shifted to capturing worlds of strategic importance, but the campaign was slowed by the greatly increased resistance offered by the RWA and local civilian populations, prompted by atrocities performed by the Draconis Auxiliary Corps when they captured Nightwish in mid-2584.[41]
General Nathan Isaacson assigned a division from IV Corps, the Eleventh Royal Division, to the conquest of Anywhere in 2594. The Star League forces successfully took control of Lackhove,[42] defeating the local militia forces, and remained in place as the local garrison until the Eleventh was redeployed for the invasion of Steelton in 2595.[43]
Star League Era
Anywhere was conquered by the Lyran Commonwealth during the 2773-2775 Republic-Commonwealth War.[13]
Clan Invasion
In March 3050 Anywhere was a target during the first wave of Operation REVIVAL, the Clan invasion of the Inner Sphere. The planetary defenders included the AFFC Second New Ivaarsen Chasseurs and the Anywhere Militia. Clan Jade Falcon invaded Anywhere with the Eighth Falcon Regulars of Vau Galaxy leading the assault. The battle for control of the planet was fought across three locations: Pickrock Hill, Brigham Rollo, and Santina Trespass. The Eighth Falcons' speed in their attacks on the Chasseurs caused the AFFC combined-arms force to make several costly mistakes which led to the RCT losing 60% of their forces and the Federated Commonwealth losing control of the planet to the Falcons.[44]
Clan Ice Hellion Invasion
During the Jihad, Clan Ice Hellion launched an invasion of a number of Clan Jade Falcon worlds including Anywhere. The Ice Hellions captured the planet briefly in June 3071 with saKhan Conner Rood ahead of his Beta & Zeta Galaxies task force. However, the Ice Hellions were later repulsed by Falcon forces in October 3071.[28][29][45][46]
ilClan Era
When the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone was left defenseless in 3151 following the ilClan Trial, Anywhere was annexed to the Hell's Horses OZ in November by the Fifth Rangers.[37]
