History

Clan Coyote

The 246th Strike Cluster was assigned to garrison Albion in 2910. They were re-equipped with OmniMechs taken from Clan Smoke Jaguar's 25th Jaguar Dragoons after the conquest of the Smoke Jaguars' Albion enclave in 2912.[1][2]

In 3060 the Cluster provided the garrison for Delios.[3] During the early to mid 3060s the Cluster acted as a broker to Clan Diamond Shark to secure trade.[4] In 3067 the Cluster was stationed on the world of New Kent.[5]

Desperate for warriors in 3070, Clan Wolf turned to their long time allies Clan Coyote for assistance. After hard negotiations Omicron Galaxy including the 246th was traded along with five Stars of merchant transports for the Wolf holdings in Clan space.[6]

Clan Wolf

In December 3071 the 246th Wolf Strike and the 509th Wolf Solahma Battle, dropped on and around the Kerensky Bloodchapel in Strana Mechty. Led by Star Colonel Ramil Kerensky of the Clan Wolf Watch. He opened a challenge to all Clans to prove themselves worthy of the Kerensky Heritage by retaking the Chapel from his force. This prompted several warriors to attack the Wolves, as the day worn on the numbers involved grew until ilKhan Andrews announced that whichever Clan could take the Chapel back would be awarded the Kerensky Bloodname. Chaos ensued as the Clans all vied for the honor with ninty warriors assaulting the entrenched Wolves over three days. Wolf Elementals destroyed the Winson Bloodchapel and as Ramil Kerensky fell he detonated the Kerensky Bloodchapel. This action provided the cover for a Wolf Watch team to penetrate the main genetics repository and destroy the master genetic files of Jennifer Winson, Nicholas and Andery Kerensky. The 246th were destroyed in this action.[7]

Officers

As of 3061 the commanding officer was Star Colonel Dyson Clearwater.[2]

As of 3067 the commanding officer was Star Colonel Reddick Moore.[5]
