Evak Mattlov was an elite[1] trueborn MechWarrior. A brutal fighter and cunning strategist, he was commander of the Fourth Falcon Velites, premier unit of Peregrine Galaxy, following its post-Tukayyid reorganization. Known as a ristar after earning the rank of Star Colonel by the age of thirty-one, he was a protégé of Galaxy Commander Angeline Mattlov, earning not only her support in a Trial of Bloodright for a Mattlov Bloodname, but also taking her spot at the head of the Velites.[2]
Besides being groomed as her successor, the Star Colonel shared the Galaxy Commander's dislike of freebirths and those that fraternized with them.[3]
He was wounded at Tukayyid.[2] It is unknown what happened to Evak Mattlov during or after the Refusal War destruction of the Fourth Falcon Velites.
