Lieutenant Junior Grade Marshall Haupt was a Free Worlds League MechWarrior who served in the Second Oriente Hussars and as a Free Worlds Defense Industries test pilot during the 31st century.[1][2]

History
Haupt was a graduate from the Allison MechWarrior Institute, earning the dubious honor of receiving that school's lowest ever passing grade, but still receiving a position in the Second Oriente Hussars as a Cicada pilot.
With the Hussars, despite being reprimanded six times for disorderly conduct, he proved to be the most proficient Cicada pilot in the regiment. When he was seconded to Gibson to assist Free Worlds Defense Industries as a test pilot for their new Cicadas based on this reputation, his company commander happily helped him pack.[1][2]
