Scientist-General is a title used by Clan scientists to designate their highest ranking member.[1] It appears each Clan has one, as the Clan Coyote Scientist-General is not named, but did convince Raven Clearwater that the Trials of Reaving would destroy centuries of Clan genetics.[2]

The Scientist-General decides what experiments will be conducted and sets broad scientific strategy for their Clan. Scientist-General Etienne of Clan Jade Falcon was able to convince the Clan that the Falcon ProtoMech program was worthless and should be cancelled.[3]

Apparently it was used extensively by members of The Society, possibly as a parody of warrior-caste ranks.[4]
