History
The 1065th is not a crack unit by any means. It was said unofficial that this was a regiment that neither the Lyran Alliance nor the Loyalists wanted to use, but hoped the other side would. During the FedCom Civil War the 1065th sat on the sidelines, defending a planet that had no reason to be attacked.[1]

- On paper, the 1065th has two battalions of armor and an infantry battalion, but shortages of parts and the indifference of most of the command staff leaves the regiment in less then ready status.[1]
Rules
Game Rules
Global
Before each battle, roll 2D6 for each vehicle and apply that many 5-pt groups of damage to the vehicle, including first motive critical hits, but not any other critical hits. Ignore nor any roll results that would cause the vehicle's destruction. Then roll 1D6 for each vehicle that has ammo and remove that many rounds from each ammo bin on that vehicle.[2]
Command
If Colonel Ludwig Oberlin is on the board, all 1065th units (except for the infantry) suffer -2 on all Initiative rolls and the enemy gains the Overrun Combat (see p. 1 93, TO) ability. If the HQ truck Oberlin is in gets attacked, the truck will retreat off the nearest friendly map edge. If that happens, Leutnant-Colonel Nancy Donner takes command and the Initiative Roll penalty is only -1 and the enemy loses the Overrun Combat ability.[2]
First Battalion
Any tanks from this unit suffer a -1 to both Driving and Gunnery Skill rolls, but all members gain the Thick-Skin (see p. 125, AToW) ability.[2]
Second Battalion
Any tanks from this unit suffer a -2 to both Driving and Gunnery Skill rolls.[2]
Third Battalion
These units do not suffer any Initiative Roll penalties and, if operating by themselves, have the Communications Disruption (see p. 193, TO) ability.[2]
