Khan Andrews commissioned Omicron Galaxy on New Kent in late 3068. To form the new Galaxy he transferred veteran Clusters from other Galaxies and replaced these with the new mixed-arms Rattle Clusters.[1]
In mid-January 3072, a fleet of Society JumpShips and DropShips arrived at a pirate point in the Ironhold system. Ignoring all communication from Omicron Galaxy they struck several locations on the planet. Their targets included the main Steel Viper training command facility, both DropPorts, and the Turkina factory. Employing previously unseen equipment the attacker shattered the Steel Viper defenders, wiping out Omicron Galaxy.[2]
