Abder-Rahman Barton rose to the rank of Leutnant-General of the Fifth Republican Guard between 3050 and 3058.[1][2]

He was leading the unit during Operation GUERRERO, when the Fifth was stationed on Elgin. There they were ineffective at countering the Capellan sponsored terrorists who were attacking the world. The Fifth was targeted for destruction by the nobles on the world once they found out that Abder-Rahman Barton was a Maskirovka spy.[1]
