The Kalmar system was the location of at least one habitable world or construct and as of 3141 was located in the Scorpion Empire.[1] It is approximately 1,194 light-years from Terra in the coreward/anti-spinward direction.

System Description[edit]

Kalmar is located near the Köningsberg and Riga systems.[2]

System History[edit]

Kalmar was one of the systems that formed a part of the Deep Periphery nation known as the Hanseatic League.[2]

Planetary History[edit]

During Escorpión Imperio's takeover of the Hanseatic League, Seeker Galaxy landed on Kalmar as part of Wave 4 which began on 9 May 3140. They swept aside the local garrison with wariness following their comprehensive defeat to Regional Defense Force 1 and Convoy Defense Force 1 just weeks earlier on Lübeck. Seeker Galaxy's cautious advance delayed an otherwise easy conquest but also minimized collateral damage and hostility from the local populace.[3]

Military Deployment[edit]

3079[edit]

- The unit was operating at full strength, with 15% of their equipment featuring upgraded technology. RDF 4 was reported as garrisoning both Kalmar and the nearby world of Riga.[2][4]
