The Gorgon was one of the first batch of seven Excalibur-class vessels to receive the upgrade to "Pocket WarShip" variant. (The others were the Bellerophon, Thunderchild, Guardian, Stanley Castle, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and March Harrier.)[1] It was lost during Operation BULLDOG.
