Mission 3
Objectives:
- Defend the DropShip
Mission Description
Holloway: We're reading even more enemies moving into the area.
Beckman: Not good. We're still securing the supplies.
Holloway: Commander, the Jade Falcons are preparing to launch an all-out assault on our DropShip. We have fortified our position here, but they have mustered a powerful force. If we take off, it might become impossible to gain a foothold on Butler again; and we need more time to secure the supplies, just in case.
Beckman: No long explanations necessary, Sergeant. Commander! Get your lance out there and hold the line. We will not give up this position.
Holloway: We're counting on you.
DURING MISSION
Holloway: Reading multiple enemy formations on the move. We have fortified some advanced positions. Those would be good places to slow the attackers.
David: Strategic speed bumps. That's us.
Objectives:
- Defend the DropShip
Secondary Objectives:
- Rescue allies in the north
Holloway: I'm still tracking Clan forces moving into the area. I'm letting Major Beckman know that we can't hold on much longer.
Holloway: No response from the Major.
Kyle: Tell him his medals are in danger!
Holloway: I have even more 'Mechs on the radar, five, ten… There are too many! The DropShip captain is threatening an emergency launch.
Kyle: Leaving us behind? Not again!
Holloway: I'm trying to reach…
Mattlov: This is Star Colonel Evak Mattlov. You are surrounded and outnumbered. Power down your 'Mechs and surrender as bondsmen to Clan Jade Falcon.
David: Nuts!
Mattlov: Impudent, Freeborn, peasant warrior of a-
Winfield: Well, that's not quite the way I'd have answered you. But close enough. This is General Winfield, and we do not, we will not, surrender to Periphery invaders. We will resist you until our strength fails us and this star burns cold, damn you.

Cinematic
Omega Plains – a large snowy depression is encircled by Clan and Winfield warriors. General Winfield in an Atlas faces Mattlov in a Warhawk.
Winston: Let's not keep our guests waiting.
Mattlov: No one interferes.
David: I don't like this, Captain. What's to keep these Falcons to their word?
Kendra: Kyle, Command says we hold here. The General knows what he's doing. This will work. It has to.
The Atlas and the Warhawk exchange fire. The Atlas scores a good hit, rocking the Warhawk back.
David: He's got him.
Mattlov's counterfire sends the Atlas crashing to the ground in flames.
Kyle: The General! Noooo!!! To the General.
Kyle charges in, violating the Circle of Equals, to help General Winfield.
Kendra: Kyle, no!
