His valor and sacrifice the trigger for the creation of the Sinclair Wings decoration, Charles Sinclair was a Com Guard aerospace fighter pilot killed during the Battle of Tukayyid.[1] [2]

History

As of 3052, Charles Sinclair was an Adept in the Com Guards piloting a Gotha as ComStar's military forces fought the combined Clan forces on Tukayyid. Part of the aerospace elements assigned to fight against Clan Diamond Shark, Sinclair would attack three Stars of OmniMechs near the target city of Urcunant, knocking out five 'Mechs before his own craft was brought down.[1] [2]

In the wake of the battle, Precentor Martial Anastasius Focht would honor Charles Sinclair's heroic actions on Tukayyid with the creation of the Sinclair Wings, an award specifically for aerospace fighter pilots. Taking the form of a pair of golden wings spreading for a sword, the Sinclair Wings are awarded to pilots who demonstrate bravery above and beyond the call of duty. [1] [2]
