Jefferson University had a specialty in Physics, including being the site of an extensive underground particle accelerator, which featured kilometer-long tunnels.
The University was raided by Capellan Confederation forces in October 3069, who unsuccessfully attempted to kidnap physicist Doctor Lei Iverson, who was conducting a lecture for a Physics 408 class at the time.[1]
