Piet Nichols was a member of the Black Widow Company.[1]
History
He was a Lieutenant leading a lance in Wolf's Dragoons when he disobeyed orders during a raid on Devil's Rock and attacked a Marik supply depot. His unit was cut off and surrounded, losing two of his members and having a third one seriously wounded. After the battle he was subjected to court martial, stripped of his rank and assigned to the Black Widow Company.[1] He participated during the combat drop the Black Widow Company made to attack New Delos and capture Anton Marik[2], and was still in the unit in 3025.[1]
Since then, he has been wounded four times and twice lost his 'Mech. Over the years, his leadership skills have been found nonexistent.[1]
During the Battle of Harlow Wood, his Mech was damaged heavily.[1]
By the time of the Battle of Misery he had been promoted to Sergeant.[3]
He fought with the rest of the Dragoons on Misery, Glenmora and Crossing.[3]
In 3060 he retired from front-line duty and transferred to the Home Guard to command a company. He was killed on Outreach in bitter city fighting when the Tiger Sharks over ran his company's position.[4]
