History
The origins of Shadrack's Shadowhawks lay in the sharp expansion in size of the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces following the repeal of the Council Edict of 2650 by the Star League council in 2752. The CCAF began expanding all of its various brigades at a rapid pace, increasing the size of the Chesterton Regulars with the addition of two newly-formed regiments between 2752 and 2765;[1] by 2786 a third new regiment had been added, Shadrack's Shadowhawks.[2]
While surviving the conversion of the Chesteron Regulars into the Chesterton Reserves, Shadrack's Shadowhawks were noted for their poor performance during the Third Succession War. The Shadowhawks were ultimately taken out of active service alongside the equally-poorly performing 6th Confederation Reserve Cavalry following a failed attack against the Federated Suns world of Bristol in 2915, both units used as the basis of the Kingston's Legionnaires formed in 2916.[3]
