Mission 6
Objectives:
- Navigate the lava field to reach the Plain of Curtains
Mission Description
Armstrong: We finally have a way onto the Plain of Curtains.
Holloway: After we secured the base, we captured a Clan MechWarrior who says he knows a path around the mountains, though it will take us across a lava field.
David: Marching across a lava field? That doesn't sound like a good idea.
Holloway: You're right. It isn't. Walk in the wrong place, and you will crack the surface, causing potentially catastrophic damage to your 'Mech.
David: I'm more concerned with the potential damage to the MechWarriors.
Armstrong: Rest easy, Mister Lee. The Clanner we captured claims to know a safe route.
Kendra: I don't think we should just blindly trust this captured enemy.
Dominga: Have I not proven that a warrior's word is good?
Kyle: So far…
Holloway: Luckly, we don't have to rely entirely on trust. The captured warrior will be your guide. If he leads you into dangerous territory, he'll be the first one to burn.
DURING MISSION
Objectives:
- Cross the lava field
- Defeat Eric Hazen's forces
Clan Mech: Follow me closely. If you step off the path, your 'Mech will overheat, and its legs will likely melt.
David: At least it's a dry heat.
Eric Hazen: I am Star Commander Eric Hazen of Clan Jade Falcon. We meet again, Commander, and I see you have assembled a new set of toy soldiers. Pathetic. Allowing yourself to be taken as bondsman by these barbarians. I have not forgotten my defeat on Winfield, Commander. Even as I tracked you across Butler and Twycross, I suffered the shame of my failure.
