History
Clan Invasion Era
Zeta Galaxy was one half of Turkina's Talons, the Jade Falcon's Homeworld defense force. After the Refusal War many of the warriors in Zeta were transferred to front-line units to quickly reconstitute destroyed units. After these transfers, Zeta's open positions were filled with freeborn warriors and new warriors who had just passed their Trial of Position.[1]
The 74th Battle Cluster was reassigned to bolster Zeta Galaxy sometime prior to 3067.[2]
The Dark Age
Perenially a Galaxy of the too-old and too-young, Zeta was forged into an effective fighting force by Galaxy Commander Aleksandr Hazen in time for the Jade Falcon assault on Skye in the Republic of the Sphere. Zeta Galaxy performed notably well on Skye, and continued to serve in the Falcon Reach, supporting Alpha Galaxy. This meant that Zeta Galaxy saw less combat in the years between the attack on Skye and 3145, as Alpha Galaxy took on the majority of the combat actions; Zeta Galaxy only found itself called on to fight when directly attacked by forces from the Republic Remnant or Clan Wolf.[3]
Officers
As of 3059 to 3067 the commanding officer was Galaxy Commander Yesukai Shambag.[1][4]
In 3145 the commanding officer is Galaxy Commander Noritomo Helmer. His aide is Star Colonel Phillip Hazen.[5]
