Description[edit]
The Hellcat has its origins in Clan Nova Cat's post-Abjurement rebuilding program. The chassis design was traded to Jade Falcon merchants in exchange for raw materials and was then reworked from the atypical Conjurer variant into its own system.[1] The early Hellcat, named in part for the BattleMech's creators and the Inner Sphere designation for the Conjurer, emphasized flexible firepower and saw limited production before the Jihad. A more modernized variant was introduced during a brief Falcon remilitarization program on Graus in the 3130s but fell victim to the Falcon's Rending. The plans were then acquired by Clan Sea Fox who have begun production.[1]
Variants[edit]
- Hellcat-P
- A prototype variant created by Clan Jade Falcon around 3065[3] nearly identical to the current production run offered by Clan Sea Fox. Instead of mounting a 300 XXL engine it instead mounts a 250 XL. Its armament remains the same carrying a single ton of LB-10X slug ammunition, a single ton of LB-10X Cluster ammunition, and a single ton of SRM 6 ammunition. BV(2.0) = 1,777[4]
