Els Cainero was the commanding officer of the Star League Defense Force Twelfth Fleet.
History[edit]
Els Cainero was a veteran of Nusakan in July 2772,[1] the largest naval battle fought since the Reunification War with over a hundred SLDF WarShips against a similar number of Republican ships and Space Defense System drone WarShips.[2]
In September 2775, Vice Admiral Cainero commanded a special task force from the Fourth Fleet during the liberation of Lockdale which cleared two standard jump points of Amaris and SDS forces, while also securing a major civilian shipyard.[3]
When the Fifth Army refused to support Admiral Santi Frolander's continued, tenuous attack on Tyrfing in December 2775, Commanding General Aleksandr Kerensky himself would tap Cainero for a transfer to command of the struggling Twelfth Fleet.[1] With the addition of two squadrons of Fourth Fleet WarShips, the naval battle for Tyrfing recommenced on 20 December. The combined SLDF naval forces shred the SDS drone fleet and four days later the Fifth Army made planetfall, pacifying the world by mid-2777.[1]
