The more I actually learn about MechAssault, the more I can actually respect it for the things it got right, and there are also some cool concepts it introduced that would probably be worth giving a second chance. The Hackman, for instance, could probably be developed into an effective Owens variant under real BattleTech rules. As for weapons like the Gravity Cannon...
