The '''''Shade''''' is the lightest, fastest, and newest of the [[Word of Blake]]'s three [[Spectral Series]] [[OmniFighter]]s. In keeping with the Spectral motif, the almost alien looking ''Shade'' is named for a ghostly apparition.<ref name=TRO3075-98-99/>

The apex of [[Precentor]] [[Vapula]]'s high-powered multidirectional vectoring engines and collapsible wing structures, which almost halves the fighter's profile to the point that it resembles a [[Small Craft|shuttle]] or [[escape pod]]. This allows the ''Shade'' to make murderously tight high-G turns that only the elite cyber-enhanced [[Manei Domini]] can withstand.<ref name=TRO3075-98-99/>

Using a 245-rated [[XL engine]] and six and half tons of [[Divine Shield-D]] [[ferro-aluminum]] armor, the ''Shade'' boasts excellent speed and protection for its size and intended role as an interceptor, while mounting 10 fixed [[double heat sink]]s and still leaving 15.5 tons available in [[pod space]].<ref name=TRO3075-98-99/>
