The OmniMech's ability to provide transport for mechanized battle armor is another distinct advantage. Clan OmniMechs are capable of deploying and redeploying PA(L)-, light-, medium-, and heavy-classes of battle armor<ref name=TM167>''TechManual'', p. 167, "Battle Armor Capabilities Table"</ref> much more expeditiously than allowing the infantry to deploy on their own. Additionally, while battle armor is mounted on the OmniMech, the battle armor provides a modicum of additional protection to their transport.<ref name=TRO:3050/><ref name=TW226/> Quad and assault-class battle armor are incapable of mechanization.<ref name=TM167/> Initially Inner Sphere battle armor were also incapable of mounting Clan OmniMechs<ref name=TRO:3050/>, though with decades of experience Inner Sphere battle armor has reached greater parity with their Clan counterparts<ref name=TW226/>. Newer battle armor, equipped with magnetic clamps, may also mount standard BattleMechs, but BattleMechs do not have specialized OmniMech gyros and suffer reduced mobility compared with their OmniMech counterparts.<ref name=TW226/>

With the Inner Sphere reverse-engineering Clan OmniMech technology, Inner Sphere OmniMechs use very similar modular connection points and can just as easily mount modular Clan weaponry and equipment as their IS counterparts. This allows the Great House militaries to field more effective Clan equipment where possible, despite having issues with the repair and maintenance of it, switching back to Inner Sphere components if required.
