Mendham Electronics (MhmEl) was a manufacturer of electronic, medical, and military equipment within the Federated Suns.[2]
Overview[edit]
When the Federated Suns captured the planet Mendham, the company Mendham Electronics requested that they be able to still produce their line of medical products. However, since the company was founded when Mendham was still part of the Capellan Confederation, they were untrusted. Thus the Federated Suns put the company under Economic Probation. Mendham Electronics was allowed to continue production, but every decision and move the company made for the next fifteen years was watched closely for any trace of pro-Capellan or anti-Davion purposes. The year 3025 was their last year of probation.[2]
In time, the company would become an important provider of military equipment to the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns. Though their original copies of the Garret family of targeting computers were considered subpar, quality rapidly improved. In 3027, the company opened an additional factory to meet demand. In 3035, Mendham Electronics opened a plant on another world, this one devoted to producing personal electronic goods. Since that time Mendham's commercial products account for seventy percent of the company's revenue.[1]
