Bloody Princess

(Redirected from "Bloody Princess")

The Bloody Princess was a series of paintings, ostensibly created by Reginald Starling that featured Archon-Princess Katherine Steiner-Davion in unfavorable light. In reality, they were created by Valerius Symons, an art forger at the behest of MIIO Agents Curaitis and Francesca Jenkins.

By having the forger assume the identity of Reg Starling, whom Katherine Steiner-Davion had ordered assassinated, Katherine would continue to activate intelligence assets to eliminate him, in turn exposing those assets and allowing them to be eliminated instead.

There were at least twelve paintings in the series.

  • Bloody Princess VI: Depicts Katherine as if distorted by heat, but with her long golden hair and ice blue eyes standing out in clarity. Her body was filled in with broad strokes of red and black, the red paint so thick it resembled clotted blood[1]
  • Bloody Princess VIII: Depicts Katherine clawing her eyes out and squeezing the liquid into flowerpots of Mycosia pseudoflora, a reference to her mother's assassination[2]
  • Bloody Princess IX: Depicts Katherine as an old crone rotting from within as she crushes a world in one hand and hoists a resistant Starling from his grave with puppet strings[3]
  • Bloody Princess XII: Depicts Katherine as making a sacrifice of her mother for satanic reasons.[4]
